Policies & Guidelines

GENERAL INFORMATION & PROTOCOLS


Upon entry into the wellness center, everyone will be counted for safety

Please check in each time you enter at the front desk by scanning your membership card. ​

***American Woman Swim & Fitness is proud to offer women's only group fitness, personal training, open swim time, and gym equipment space.

In partnership with Hi5 Swim School, we offer CO-ED swim lessons -

there are times when youth and adult men are in the facility for swim.

​

MEN also enter the front reception area for deliveries, maintenance work, pool testing, mandated local and state inspections, etc.***

CODE OF CONDUCT

At American Woman Swim & Fitness, we expect staff, members, and guests to always behave in accordance with our values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.

 

We demonstrate these values by:

  • Following all program and facility rules.

  • Speaking in respectful tones and refraining from using vulgar or derogatory language.

  • Resolving conflicts in an honest, caring manner. We never resort to physical contact, threatening gestures or words.

  • Respecting the property of others - never engaging in theft or destruction - including the equipment at our center and the center itself.

  • Creating a safe environment; never carrying firearms or harmful devices.

  • Prohibiting the use of e-cigarettes, vaping devices, and similar items from anywhere inside the center.

  • Prohibiting the use, sale, dispensing, and/or possession of illegal drugs and narcotics as well as the unsanctioned use of alcohol in our center. We are creating programs that build a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

  • Most importantly, we support one another!


 

Adherence to our Code of Conduct and our regulations is essential. Noncompliance could result in suspension or termination of American Woman Swim & Fitness and/or Hi5 Swim School membership/program privileges.

 

We reserve the right to remove or restrict usage of our wellness center or programs from any person who creates an unsafe or disruptive environment. Furthermore, American Woman Swim & Fitness and Hi5 Swim School may require an adult guardian for supervision of any minor who cannot conduct themselves independently in a respectful manner with adherence to rules and guidelines, out of a desire to keep them and those around them safe.

PAYMENT POLICY

Membership payments are accepted via credit or debit card or by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Please note there is a $35 handling charge for ALL declined payments.

You MUST notify us with a change of payment form to update a credit or debit card prior to your payment to avoid this charge.

MEMBERSHIP CANCELATION POLICY

Requests for membership cancelation must be made in writing to our customer service team via text at 201-497-0312. We have a 60-day cancelation policy.

RESERVATIONS, CANCELATION, NO SHOW

ï¿­ Advanced reservations are optional, but encouraged for classes and swim lap lanes. Walk-ins are welcome. Advance reservations guarantee your spot in a class or a swim lane. Walk-ins are NOT guaranteed a spot. 

ï¿­ We ask that you arrive a few minutes prior to your reservation.

ï¿­ All personal training sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. If you need to cancel your personal training reservation, please do so by 7:00pm the evening prior to your session.

ï¿­ Class Cancellation: Classes may result in cancellation due to lack of enrollment. If no one is pre-registered for a class, that class may be canceled by 7:30am if it meets in the morning, and canceled by 12:30pm for a class that meets in the afternoon.

ï¿­ No Show / Late Cancellation Fee: A $15 no show fee will be charged for AWSF members who fail to show up for more than 2 reservations per month or fail to cancel more than 2 reservations per month 8 hours prior to class time. This fee will be added into your account and automatically charged. For non-members who have booked a single class or swim lane as part of a session package, this could mean forfeiting the cost of the class/ session pass. You may cancel your class reservation through your "Client Portal" if you are unable to attend. 

ï¿­ If you are 5 minutes late or more to your scheduled reservation for a class or swim lane, your spot may be forfeited to a standby.

ï¿­ When booking through your Client Portal (located in our main menu), please check “MY INFO” for your schedule to ensure your reservation is saved.

POOL, SHOWER, LOCKER and CHANGING ROOM, SPA 

ï¿­ All swimmers must rinse off prior to entering the pool. 

ï¿­ All are required to wear foot coverings in the shower, restrooms, locker room, and pool area.

ï¿­ Towels must be used in the sauna and steam room.

ï¿­ Lockers are available on a day-to-day basis; please remove all of your personal items when you leave. AWSF is not responsible for personal items.

ï¿­ The swim area closes 30 minutes prior to the center closing - please exit this area on time.

ï¿­ There is no lifeguard on duty in the swim area. We reserve the right to ask a guardian to accompany any swimmers we feel are unsafe alone in the pool or whirlpool.

PHOTO RELEASE POLICY

All members are required to have a photo taken for their membership account. If they are not present at the time of joining, they will need to stop by the front desk and have their photo taken on their first visit.

American Woman Swim & Fitness and Hi5 Swim School reserve the right to use photographs/videos taken within our wellness centers for marketing and promotional purposes.
